Dachshund Jewelry
This gorgeous Dachshund pen/pendant was designed by world renowned animal artist and silversmith Mark Shields. The joyful Dachshund is handmade of brushed satin pewter and bronze and treated with oxides, plating and special brush techniques. Decorative oxidizing is used to enhance the shadows and contours of the piece which bring the Doxie to life. The rose is gold plated bronze. The finished piece is then coated with laquer to preserve the surface.
This versatile piece can be worn as both a pin and a pendant The pin back is secured with hammered rivets and the pewter chain loop is forged into the design back (chain not included). Each pin is mounted on a beautifully designed protective card which serves as a small gift box with quotes, information and the artist's bio.
Each piece is made one at a time by Mark at his studio in Virginia Beach, VA.
